A man in his 60s died after falling on Croagh Patrick in Co Mayo this afternoon.
The Mayo Mountain Rescue service received an emergency call at 12.30 pm and a coastguard helicopter arrived at the scene within minutes.
The man was treated at the scene before being transported to Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar where he was pronounced dead.
