A man (44) has died following a house fire in Co Mayo last night.
The fire broke out at the house in Ballyvary, about 10kms from Castlebar. The alarm was raised shortly after midnight.
The man, who was alone in the house at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí said they were not treating the fire as suspicious and the scene has been preserved for technical examination.
