Gardaí have begun a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death at a New Year's Eve party in Tralee yesterday evening.
Michael Lonergan (34) was attacked in a house at Baloonagh Estate in the Co Kerry town at around 7.00pm.
The father-of-five was taken to Kerry General Hospital where he later died of his injuries.
A man has been arrested and is being held at Tralee Garda Station for questioning.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
