A man is being questioned following a fatal stabbing at a house in Drogheda early this morning.
A 41-year-old man was found with serious injuries in the house in Rathmullen Park at around 4am and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Gardaí arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the incident. He is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Drogheda Garda Station.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
A post mortem examination is expected to be carried out.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
