Man held over fatal Dublin stabbing

A man is being questioned by gardai today after a fatal stabbing in north west Dublin last night.

A man is being questioned by gardai today after a fatal stabbing in north west Dublin last night.

A 33-year-old man was stabbed to death in an apartment at Blanchardstown in the north west of Dublin last night.

The man was found in the apartment at Rathlin House, Waterville with a stab wound to the chest and taken to Connolly Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Gardai said a 48-year-old man had been arrested and was being questioned. The scene of the killing was sealed off overnight pending an examination by forensic experts.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
