Gardaí are seeking to question a man in relation to a shooting in Monaghan this afternoon.
A man is being treated in hospital for shoulder and facial injuries sustained in the incident. The man was shot while working in a quarry in Castleshane near Monaghan at around 2.45 p.m.
The man's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
