Man jailed for abusing brothers

A former Peace Commissioner was yesterday jailed for four years for sexually abusing three young brothers.

A former Peace Commissioner was yesterday jailed for four years for sexually abusing three young brothers.

Retired baker, Theo Barry (65) from Sleaveen, Kinsale, Co Cork pleaded guilty to 10 counts of sexually assaulting the three young brothers between 1974 and 1980.

Barry was a friend of the family and the abuse happened at his home, Cork Circuit Criminal Court heard.
