A Limerick man has been jailed for four months for a "feud-related" attack in which he smashed the front window of a car while a mother and daughter were inside.

Frank Ryan (21), Delmege Park, Moyross, pleaded guilty to criminal damage on August 21st at Island Road.

Limerick District Court heard that the mother and daughter were stopped in traffic lights at 11.45pm when Ryan left his vehicle and smashed the driver's window and windscreen, the court heard.

At a previous court hearing, Det Garda Jarlaith Murphy said the incident was "feud related". Judge Leo Malone took "very serious view" of what had happened and jailed Ryan for four months.
