Man shot in pub 'stable'

A MAN in his 20s is recovering in hospital after being shot in a pub in Dublin at the weekend.

A MAN in his 20s is recovering in hospital after being shot in a pub in Dublin at the weekend.

Two men walked into the Cappagh House pub, on Barry Road, Finglas, just after midnight on Saturday and shot the man, aged 24. He was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown and treated for minor injuries. His condition was described last night as “stable”.

The two men left the pub on foot and made their escape in the direction of Barry Green.

The scene was preserved for a technical examination. Gardaí from Finglas conducted follow-up searches on two houses in the area and a firearm was recovered.
