A Dublin mother who had been missing for four days was found safe and well yesterday.

Ms Lilian McGowan (44), from Park Vale, Baldoyle, had been missing since Tuesday.

Last night her sister, Ms Anne Byrne, said Lilian had been found in her house in Baldoyle at 2.15 p.m. "Words cannot express how we feel that we have her back safe and well," she said.

Ms McGowan lost her partner, Mr Michael Burke, and her nine-year-old daughter, Miriam, last year after their car went off the east pier in Howth.
