A distraught Munster rugby fan who queued for over 17 hours for tickets to this weekend's European Heineken Cup semi-final draw at Lansdowne Road has had the tickets stolen.
Despite being first in the queue ahead of 3,000 other fans at Thomond Park last week, 19-year-old Ms Pamela Meade from Corbally in Limerick is now ticketless.
The dedicated Munster supporter was first in line when tickets went on sale for Sunday's crucial semi-final clash between Munster and Wasps.
After securing a ticket for herself and her boyfriend, Ms Meade went to town to buy a new Munster jersey.
But when she returned home she discovered her wallet and tickets had been stolen.
"The tickets and money were stolen from my coat pocket while I was in in town," explained Ms Meade.
"Shocked was not the word for it when I discovered the tickets were gone.
"I was nearly crying going into work. I have gone to all the Munster games this year, but could not make the last one as I was working," she said..
Ms Meade works as a barmaid in McLoughlin's Bar in Corbally and was due to travel to Dublin with her boyfriend.
Tickets for the game have sold out.
