Tony Glackinfrom Swords is a former civil servant.
"I think they've all been treading water waiting for the announcement [of the date of the election]. I do think the first-time buyers issue, when that was introduced, seems to have brought the whole thing to life, even without an election date.
"Being from Dublin of course transport is always an issue - we're supposed to get the metro to Swords.
"As a former civil servant, I think decentralisation should be put on hold. There just seems to be no planning, and no scope for accepting change [ to it].
"The parties all make a lot of promises. The present Government is still trying to fulfil its promises from the last election.
"I tend to go on personalities rather than parties. I'm uncommitted as yet.
"I suppose I think Bertie Ahern is doing alright, maybe a close election will shake him up a bit. But I don't think there's a big alternative. If I thought the alternative offered a big difference I would go with them."
