New evidence to be introduced when the Bloody Sunday Inquiry reopens in Derry today will include a tape recording of alleged conversations involving British army officers in a local barracks' communications room on the day of the shootings.

The tape, said to have been made with the aid of an IRA electronic "bug", was missing for years but is now in the possession of the tribunal, headed by Lord Saville.
