Gardaí in Cork have said there was no foul play involved in the death of a woman at a flat in the city.
The body of the woman (41) was found at about 9.30pm last night at a flat at Clifden Terrace, Summerhill North, by emergency services after they responded to a 999 call.
Gardaí were alerted, and the woman – who was found at the foot of a stairs - was pronounced dead at the scene.
The area was preserved overnight for a forensic examination by Garda technical experts.

Tonight, the confirmed that a postmortem examination had been completed by assistant State pathologist Dr Margot Bolster at Cork University Hospital and that the results indicated there was no foul play involved.
