IN slightly chilly conditions where Scandinavian sunshine barely prevented a shower of hailstones, a group of about 50 Norwegian and Irish enthusiasts, decked in Baileys Emerald green top hats, and led by a lone piper, marched through Karl Johan Gate to Oslo City Hall.

St Patrick's Day celebrations continued throughout the weekend, with music sessions in the many Irish pubs which have recently sprung up in Oslo.
