North Korea's Foreign Ministry said today six-country talks on its nuclear programmes must be turned into comprehensive disarmament talks since it has become a nuclear state, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported.

North and South Korea, the United States, Japan, Russia and China must take part in the disarmament talks as equals for the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula, the North's foreign ministry spokesman was quoted as saying.
