Nursing homes wishing to be placed on the Health Service Executive list of approved facilities for the provision of care to patients under the new “Fair Deal” scheme for funding long-term care will have to lodge applications with the National Treatment Purchase Fund before the end of this month.
The NTPF will then begin negotiations on prices with the homes and a list of nursing homes that agree prices with the NTPF will be forwarded to the HSE for inclusion in the “Fair Deal” scheme.
The NTPF expects to have concluded these negotiations by September.
