One person taken to hospital after Dublin fire

A person is being treated in hospital today following a fire at an apartment in south Dublin.

A person is being treated in hospital today following a fire at an apartment in south Dublin.

Two people were rescued after the fire broke out at the flat in Clondalkin village around 2am.

One person was taken to Tallaght Hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation; the other did not require medical attention.

Two fire engines and two ambulances were called to the apartment beside the post office in Clondalkin village. Fire officers are investigating the cause of the fire.
