OPW rentals investigated

The Garda Fraud Squad is investigating suspected irregularities in a small number of rental payments within the Office of Public Works, the Minister for Finance revealed. Mr Quinn, in a written reply to Mr Michael Ahern (FF, Cork East), said that independent auditors had been appointed to validate all rental payments and to make recommendations relating to any, additional control measures that might be appropriate.
