The North-South bodies envisaged by the Belfast Agreement had the "potential of expanding into structures which will deliver an undreamed-of means of economic and social advancement for the whole people of Ireland", the MP for South Down, Mr Eddie McGrady, told the SDLP conference which opened in Newry last night. Mr McGrady said the new bodies could bring about "a fairer distribution of the resources available now and in the future".
