Police in the greater Belfast area have arrested a leading loyalist on suspicion of being unlawfully at large.

Police in the greater Belfast area have arrested a leading loyalist on suspicion of being unlawfully at large.

A police spokesman said: "The arrest, made during ongoing police inquiries into loyalist tensions in the Belfast area, comes four months after a man on remand for allegedly robbing a post office failed to return to prison after being released on compassionate leave."
