Réada Cronin (55) was the first female Sinn Féin candidate to achieve a seat on Kildare County Council when she was elected in 2014. She did not retain the seat in the 2019 local elections.
A social worker in Celbridge, this will be her second General Election, having been eliminated in seventh place on the 7th count in 2016 with a little over 3,200 first preferences.
As a community activist, she helped set up Maynooth First Responders two years ago.
Originally from Dublin 11, Cronin rents in Maynooth.
