London - Most people in Britain believe members of the royal family should be stripped of their royal status if they are found using their position to further private business interests, according to a poll published yesterday. The Guardian/ICM survey, coming two weeks after Queen Elizabeth's daughter-in-law Sophie Rhys-Jones was forced to resign from her public relations company, indicated that 51 per cent want a tough line taken with royals who exploit their status for personal gain.
