Zanzibar - The world's poorest countries agreed yesterday to push their concerns high up the agenda at global trade talks, but stopped short of opposing a new round of World Trade Organisation (WTO) negotiations.

Officials from 49 Third World countries were meeting in Tanzania's island of Zanzibar. They pledged to forge a united front.
