The results of a post-mortem on the body of a man in his mid-30s discovered in Ballyfermot, Dublin, at the weekend will not be available for a number of weeks, gardaí have said.
The forensic examination carried out by the State Pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy, at Tallaght hospital on Saturday night proved inconclusive and more extensive toxicology tests have been ordered.
"Further tests to establish exactly how this man died need to be carried out, but they will take some time, a number of weeks," a Garda spokesman said.
The man's body was discovered near the Grand Canal bank at Killeen Road, Ballyfermot, at about 8.30 a.m. on Saturday. His mobile phone was found nearby.
Gardaí are still investigating the death but said there is "nothing to indicate there was an attack of any kind".
Gardaí at Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, have said there are no indications of foul play in the death of a Ukrainian man, Mr Viktor Duk (36), whose body was found at a flat in Muckno Street, Castleblayney, on Friday night.
A post-mortem on Saturday revealed injuries consistent with a fall.
