The case of a priest accused of sexually assaulting young men was further adjourned at Wexford District Court yesterday following legal submissions by the defence.

The 43 year old Co Wexford curate is facing 66 charges of indecent assault and gross indecency against eight young males on dates between 1981 and 1984.

The case was adjourned for mention to July 17th, when a date will be fixed for the hearing of submissions by the defence on the book of evidence.
