Ankara - The sister of a prisoner starved to death yesterday, increasing to 32 the number of people who have died in a hunger strike in protest at Turkey's new prison system.
Ms Hulya Simsek (38), the sister of a prisoner who is also on a hunger strike, died in a house in Istanbul where she lived with other fasting protesters, the prisoners' support group TAYAD said.
Ms Simsek had been fasting for 285 days.
