Producer prices rise by 0.7% in June

Producer prices increased by 0.7 per cent in June, the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) show.

But the CSO said annual producer prices fell 0.8 per cent in June compared a 0.9 per cent decrease in May.

The most significant changes were increases in dairy products, which rose 6.4 per cent, and basic chemicals, which increased 0.9 per cent, while there was a 0.2 per cent decrease in office machinery and computers.

Petroleum fuels increased by 3.7 per cent in the month.
