The PSNI and British government officials have raided a number of businesses in the North in a fraud investigation.

Britain's ministry of defence said the raids were connected to an inquiry into "money managed through public contracts between the ministry and commercial contractors".

Around 100 defence officials and 70 PSNI officers were involved in searches in Belfast, Lisburn, Hillsborough, Coleraine and Portadown.
