New York - A jury yesterday cleared hip hop star Sean "Puffy" Combs of charges of illegal gun possession and bribery stemming from a 1999 New York nightclub shooting that wounded three people. The jury in state Supreme Court had been deliberating since midday on Wednesday. The case stemmed from a shooting in Club New York on December 27th, 1999, when prosecutors alleged Combs jostled another patron, sparking a dispute that prompted a rapper associate, Jamaal "Shyne" Barrow (21) to open fire.
