Championship Draws: The concluding act of this weekend's absorbing action within Gaelic Games circles came with two live draws on Rte for the next stages of both the football and hurling championships.

First up came the third round of the SFC Qualifiers which saw today's beaten Ulster finalists Monaghan drawn against National League champions Donegal.

Today's beaten Leinster finalists Laois were drawn against the in-form Derry, who put a poor start to the Ulster Championship well and truly behind them with memorable wins over Armagh last week and yesterday's win against Mayo.

Galway were next out of the bowl and they take on Meath while Cork take on Louth. The fixtures will be played over the next fortnight but before that the GAA will meet tomorrow to decide dates and which neutral venues will be used.

A short time later the SHC semi-final draw was made at this early stage - even before the quarter-finals have been played - in order for counties to confirm and arrange other club fixtures.

The draw saw Waterford/Cork versus Limerick/Clare. Next up was Kilkenny/Galway v Wexford/Tipperary.

Those fixtures will take place over the first and second weekends in August.
