Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford today said it was "quite likely" that Frankie Dettori would be free to ride Motivator in the Baileys Irish Champion Stakes on Saturday week.
The Italian's services would, however, be required if Godolphin have a runner in either the Leopardstown contest or the same day's Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster.
"First and foremost we need to talk to Sheikh Mohammed and see if he wants to supplement anything for the St Leger," Crisford said.
"At the moment it would seem unlikely that we would have a realistic contender. I think at the moment it is probably quite likely that we would be in a position to release Frankie for Motivator."
