Athletics:Paula Radcliffe of Britain won the New York City Marathon on Sunday after a dramatic duel with Ethiopia's Gete Wami.
World record holder Radcliffe, running her first marathon in two years after taking a maternity break, won in an unofficial time of two hours, 23 minutes, nine seconds.

The men's event was won by Kenya's Martin Lel — who won the event in 2003.
Lel outkicked Morocco's Abderrahim Goumri on the final incline to the Central Park finishing line to win in 2:09:04, 12 seconds ahead of Goumri.
Another former champion, 2004 winner Hendrick Ramaala of South Africa, was third in 2:11:25.
