Racing: Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe hero Rail Link is reported to be in fine fettle after his heroics at Longchamp.
The three-year-old son of Dansili took up the running from Deep Impact just over a furlong out before gamely holding the late challenge of Pride.
The victory extended the colt's winning sequence to five and will have the chance to improve that impressive record as connections confirmed he is to stay in training next season.
"The horse is absolutely fine. I've just seen him and he's come out of the race well — he certainly looks well and there are no problems, thank goodness," reported Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah.
"It's exciting to have him back next year, he'll stay in training and I hope he'll be back for the Arc."
Rail Link's success was achieved 20 years after Dancing Brave carried the owner's colours to victory in the Group One attraction.
Grimthorpe added: "It was just a superb day.
"It was one of those rare occasions when everything just goes right and Stephane (Pasquier) gave him a great ride."
