Heavy rain has threatened to wash out the first day's play in the ANZ Championship European Tour event in Sydney starting on Thursday, tournament chairman Steve Frazer said.
"It's fortuitous that there's nothing on either tour next week so if we need to go to Monday we can without any aggravation," Frazer said this morning.
The Australasian Tour golf event is co-sanctioned by the European Tour.
"Whether they would run a one-day cut is a decision for them [tour officials]," Frazer said.
