Donegal's Brian Roper and Seamus Prendergast of Waterford were today named Vodafone GAA All Stars Players of the Month for April.
It's the third consecutive month that a Donegal footballer has been honoured as Roper joins team-mates Barry Dunnion and Brendan Devenney in the 2007 honours list.
Seamus Prendergast is the second Waterford hurler to be honoured this year after Eoin Kelly's success in February.
Roper won his first national title last month after 12 years playing for the county. His leadership and vital scores were crucial when Donegal beat Kildare and Mayo in the league semis and final respectively.
Prendergast, in turn, has been one of Waterford's most consistent performers during their successful run to hurling league success. His late scores in the semi-final and final propelled the team to victory.
"It was a privilege to watch an exciting climax to both the National Football and Hurling Leagues," said GAA president Nickey Brennan.
"The excitement of the Donegal and Waterford players and supporters showed how important success was to them. Brian and Seamus were outstanding and deserve this honour."
