Racing: The fixtures scheduled for Monday and Tuesday of next week at Roscommon have both been cancelled due to waterlogging at the track.
Irish Turf Club officials inspected the course today and with conditions currently unraceable and showing no signs of improvement, they have had little option but to call off the two meetings.
Irish Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone said: “The course is unfit for racing and they have had to pull the plug.
“They have had a lot of rain over the last 24 hours, which they didn’t need, so things are not going to improve enough for next week.
“They didn’t really have any option.”
