Detectives investigating an attack on the prominent loyalist, Johnny Adair, are understood to be treating the incident as attempted murder. Adair was attending an open-air concert at Botanic Gardens in Belfast last Friday when he was attacked by a group of men.
He said he was beaten and then shot in the head. He was treated in hospital and released.
