A 63-year-old member of the Legion of Mary, who threatened to blow up her neighbour's van, had sentencing in her case adjourned yesterday.

Mary McGrath of Innishmore Drive, Ballincollig, Co Cork, was convicted last May of threatening to kill or cause serious injury to Mr Christopher Blackham, a father of two children.

Cork District Court heard previously that Mrs McGrath verbally abused Mr Blackham and made a false allegation against him.

Last Friday Mr Blackham told the court that as recently as September 6th he had to call the gardaí because there was excessive noise coming from Mrs McGrath's home.

At a court sitting the previous day Judge Con O'Leary warned Mrs McGrath that if she stepped out of line one more time she would go to jail. "The first day of a report of a complaint of noise, you will go to prison the next day."

Sentencing was adjourned until next Tuesday.
