Tennis:Setanta Sports today confirmed that they have agreed a three year deal to show live coverage of the French Open Tennis Championships at Roland Garros. The agreement starts with this year's event and continues through to 2014.

Live coverage of the 2012 event runs from May 27th to June 10th and the majority of the live action will be shown on the Setanta Ireland channel. Brian Quinn, Marketing Director of Setanta Sports commented “We are very excited about bringing Roland Garros to Irish audiences. This is our first time broadcasting this prestigious event and our first venture into Grand Slam tennis.

“There has never been a better time for us to win these rights. The men’s game is fascinating at present with three great players vying for dominance. The women’s singles at Roland Garros in recent times has proven harder to predict with five different winners in the last five years.”
