Seven children were hurt this morning when a concrete block was thrown at the bus they were travelling in.

The children, aged 12 to 16, were brought to hospital where they were treated for cuts and then released.

The attack happened shortly after 9 a.m. on the Skegoniel Road as the children were going to Hazelwood College where they are pupils.

The attack in north Belfast is less than a mile from the scene of the sectarian rioting that has raged in Belfast this week.
