Actor Charlie Sheen was in custody today after being arrested in the Colorado resort town of Aspen on charges related to an alleged case of domestic violence.
A police spokeswoman said Sheen, 44, was arrested yesterday on charges of second-degree assault and menacing, both felonies, along with criminal mischief, a misdemeanour, , all of which were "coupled with a domestic violence component," the Apsen police said in a statement.

Police said the alleged victim did not have to be taken to hospital. The person's name was not released.
The star of the hit comedy television series Two and a Half Men, will be held without bond until his first court appearance.
The court was closed for Christmas and no date for his appearance has been set.
