London - People hate or fear the Oasis lead singer Liam Gallagher more than they do the Iraqi dictator, Mr Saddam Hussein, a popularity poll said yesterday. Gallagher, who was last year divorced from actress Patsy Kensit, was voted the third most hated or feared person in the Madame Tussaud's annual popularity poll. He was beaten only by Adolf Hitler, who came first, and the former Serbian leader, Mr Slobodan Milosevic, who was second. President Saddam, who topped the poll last year, finished fourth, behind Gallagher.

Mr Tony Blair was fifth in the hated or feared category and did not figure among favourite politicians. President Clinton was voted favourite politician, with Baroness Thatcher second and London mayor Ken Livingstone third.
