Racing: John Oxx believes Four Sins is peaking at the right time ahead of her bid for Classic glory in tomorrow's Vodafone Oaks.
The Co Kildare handler admits he would like the Epsom turf to dry out a little before the 12-furlong showpiece, but says his charge is raring to go.
"We had some worries about the track, but she is so well at the moment you'd be slow to leave her at home. We wouldn't like it to remain soft, we just hope it dries out to good to soft, which she won on last time at Naas," Oxx said.
"But she is in great form and coming to her peak so we have to let her take her chance. She'll have a six-week interval to the Irish Oaks and we are hopeful of a good run."
Four Sins reappeared when touched off by stablemate Arch Swing in April and impressed when stepped up to a mile and a quarter in the Blue Wind Stakes at Naas last time.
"She won handily (in the Blue Wind). She won going away and she should stay the distance well, she's bred to stay," Oxx said. "She's always been a smart filly. She's always shown a lot of speed, we liked her at two. She ran third first time out and won her next race very easily.
"She disappointed in the Million. It may have been the soft ground, but on the day she was very quiet in herself, Mick (Kinane) said she had no life in her. She showed nothing in the race, but she has done nothing wrong in her two good runs this year.
"You never know until you run in the Oaks or the Derby, it's the first big test over a mile and a half for the Classic generation. Everybody gives themselves a chance and it takes the race to sort things out. We'll have to wait and see, she has nothing to lose in taking her chance."
