Soccer - FAI Cup draw:Sligo Rovers will have to do it the hard way if they are to make another FAI Cup final after being drawn away to Bohemians this evening.
Last year’s beaten finalists face a trip to Dalymount Park on either Friday, October 15th or Sunday, October 17th.
St Patrick’s Athletic, who accounted for holders Sporting Fingal in the last round, will meet Dublin rivals Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium in the other semi-final.
All but out of the league race, the cup represents St Pat’s most realistic chance of getting their hands on silverware but face a tall order against a Rovers side chasing an elusive league and cup double.
Bray Wanderers, meanwhile, inched a little closer to safety in the Airtricity League Premier Division with a 2-0 win over Dundalk this evening. The Wicklow club remain in deep trouble but goals from Derek Prendergast and Shane O’Neill kept their faint hopes alive.
This was only Bray’s sixth win in 30 league games this season and three of those have been against Dundalk. The victory moves the Seagulls four points clear of basement club Drogheda United in their bid to avoid automatic relegation.
