Police said tonight that the sniper who has killed at least nine people has sent a message threatening children in the Washington region.
"Your children are not safe any where at any time," Montgomery County police chief Charles Moose said, reading a message he said police had received, not specifying when it was received.
Moose said he made the exact contents of the threat public since incorrect and partial versions of the text had already been leaked to the public.
