Dwayne Vincent, a member of controversial UK garage collective So Solid Crew, will appear in court today charged with murder.
The 24-year-old musician, better known as "Megaman", will appear before Camberwell Magistrates Court charged with the murder of Colin Scarlett and the possession of a firearm with intent to commit an offence, police said in a statement.
Scarlett, also aged 24 and from Tooting, south London, died of gunshot wounds in London on November 6th.
Another man, 22-year-old Mr Carl Dean Morgan, has already been charged with the same offences as Vincent.
So Solid Crew - famed for its rebellious, disenfranchised sound - has a reputation for attracting violence at its concerts. While several other crew members have been arrested in the past on gun charges, some have been actively involved in fighting gun culture.
So Solid member Ashley Walters - known as Asher D - was jailed for 18 months in 2002 for firearms offences and in 2003, Jason Phillips, better known as G-Man, was jailed for four years
for carrying a handgun.
