The woman (26) who was from the south Dublin area, was found dead on Wednesday night.

A Garda spokeswoman said they are not treating her death as suspicious and that it was a tragic incident.

The Dublin Region Homeless Executive (DRHE) said it was aware of the death and offered its condolences to the family and friends of the woman “at this very difficult time”.

“It is particularly poignant in light of the fact that the woman had been offered and had accepted a social house from South Dublin County Council,” a DRHE spokesman said.

DRHE said Leixlip House, where the woman was found dead, is not leased by the DRHE but there is a contract with the facility to provide emergency accommodation to homeless families.
