Negotiations to resolve the Scottish Premier league row got underway at Hampden Park this morning.

Celtic chief executive Ian McLeod and Rangers chairman John McClelland are meeting with the rest of the SPL clubs in a bid to resolve problems which have beset the league since April.

The 10 non-Old Firm clubs resigned from the SPL at the beginning of this season in the wake of the collapse of SPL TV.

But talks under the auspices of SPL executive chairman Lex Gold have brought the clubs closer to agreement.

The remaining differences between the rebel 10 were ironed out at a three-hour meeting at Tannadice yesterday.

All 12 SPL clubs must make decisions on Internet broadcasting and voting procedure to secure the future of the Scottish top flight league.

This morning's meeting began at 10 a.m. and an announcement is expected this afternoon.
