Finn Harps 0 Derry City 0
Finn Harps and Derry City remained deadlocked after the first leg of the eircom League promotion/relegation final ended 0-0 at Finn Park tonight.
Derry started the brighter of the two sides but Harps soon got into their stride in front of the home crowds and made matters difficult for the Premier Division side.
There was a major talking point towards the end of the game when referee Eddie Barr blew the whistle for full time with two minutes of normal time still remaining, and that came after three substitutions were made in the second half.
As for the action Damien Whitehead's effort six minutes from time, which took a deflection, was the best chance of the game. However, both sides have it all to do when they meet again in the second leg at the Brandywell on Saturday night.
